The spotlight will once again be on teenage batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was involved in an on-field altercation during the teams’ previous meeting.

The last game between the two sides ended in a Super Over after both teams finished level at the end of 50 overs. Sri Lanka A scored 16 runs in the Super Over and then restricted India A to nine, with young pacer Kugathas Mathulan, who bowls in a style similar to Matheesha Pathirana, keeping Sooryavanshi and Suryansh Shedge quiet.
